Any trade rumors on Couts yet? Honestly that is the only value I see on him at the moment, I am sure he can't wait to get to a contender that isn't "retooling"'. Hopefully we can get some picks that Fletcher's replacement does well with.

Like G, I don't want Couts to be traded unless he wants to be. Maybe that's a bad decision for the franchise, but I enjoy watching him play as a fan.

It would be a major change in direction regardless. Isn't that actually the first year of his new contract? I just hope he gets to play on a good Flyers team again, even if it's as a third-line older player. At this point I'm sure he just wants to get healthy enough to become a third-line older player.

I'm fairly sure Couts could be a 3rd line center through his contract. His hockey sense may be more valuable than his skill. His breakout was shutting down Malkin in the playoffs as a 19 year old?

He won't be 30 for another 2 months. That's crazy.

He's been my favorite player since that year but right now my fatalistic view is that his back is the same thing as various other Flyers greats and their heads. Hopefully he is fine and is back to an all-star level next season (this season would be too much to ask I think) but at this time next year we could also be talking about the 50 games he missed.

If the Flyers are live to get Bedard, then I assume his games missed will be appreciated. His contract curtails his trade value and his value on the ice is too critical to trade for less than what he's really worth.

it's just crazy how fast the worm turned. In 2020 the Flyers were still good, however flimsy that season may have been, while the Phillies were still in the morass and the Eagles and Sixers were both soap operas with disappointing teams and major coaching and player changes coming.

The Union, of course have been solid for a long time, if not yet fully over the hump these past three seasons.

Nice first game win. TK and Hart both had good games. First goal Hart allowed was kind of soft, but he hasn’t played all preseason.

The video they were showing of the locker room was interesting. It’s pretty spartan to today’s standards. Any big college football team has a nicer locker room.
