It’s interesting that they keep signing defensemen instead of seeing what they’ve got with York and Attard. The NHL isn’t the MLB where you have control over a player for 6 years.

I've stated my concerns about Tippett, but walked back some because of how good his shot is. Having said that, his 2 year contract looks good to me and he'll still be an RFA when it expires?

Brink apparently hurt himself and will be out half the season already.

J Cates, Allison, Hogberg, and Hodgson are still RFAs and unsigned. Sportrac is showing we sign a kid from the Habs named Luis Belpedio D.

This is arguably the worst offseason I have ever seen as a fan. They trade away draft picks for a bad player, they sign virtually no one (certainly no one of consequence) for a team that was not just bad, but was actually getting worse as the season progressed.

There is an article in the Philly papers about could the Islanders pass the Flyers by signing Kadri? Ummm, there is no reason to believe they aren't already better.

Retooling. Funniest term ever. I wonder if it means they are tightening down the seats in the stadium so than fans don't throw them in the ice.

Ellis is likely going on IR, will not be counted on as ever coming back. His core injuries are actually 3 major muscle groups. And it is not responding to therapy.

Two more key players will miss substantial time.

Connor Bedard is very good. Matvei Michkov is as well, but he has a KHL contract and won't be able to come over for 3(?) years. Both are small, so the Flyers probably love Adam Fantilli.

Is it bad that I hope Isaac Ratcliffe gets claimed by an organization that knows what they are doing?

I’m surprised about Ratcliffe. He had some real helium at one point but seemed to hit a ceiling.

If it isn't obvious, I'm a big fan of players that can skate. That being said, Isaac has good hands for a player of his size. This seems like a change in philosophy from when Ratcliffe was drafted. I'm not sure why it's taken so long to progress, but the Flyers seem to not care about maximizing assets (even if it means trading them before they decide to waive them).

Maybe I should make vacations plans for Nashville in June... although I'm not sure I'll like the outcome.
