Bottom of the second, Yankees starts with a 4 pitch walk, two opposite field singles, and a grand slam (Gardner) to take the 4-0 lead. Yankees had a two out walk and a hard double from Stanton in the first inning.

Montgomery has set down six in order so far. 21 total pitches.

Wheeler gets LeMahieu on a line out to right and a K on Judge. Then the roll over inning out so Wheeler gets five outs but is given credit for six.

Top of the third, Montgomery continues for the Yankees.

Joyce singles on a pop to short right center falling just beyond the second baseman. Quinn hits a 30 foot grounder inside the line toward third for an infield hit. Torreyes smokes the ball but a line drive at the short stop for an out and almost a DP. Cutch grounds out in a FC, reaching first and Joyce to third. Didi grounds out to short. Phillies get first two on but get nothing on the scoreboard.

Didi wearing 95 today. Left his 18 in clearwater. What's with this? Herrera wore 97 I think yesterday for same reason.

Wheeler comes out for the third, strikes out Hicks, and then leaves the game having thrown 49 pitches. Got six outs, given credit for getting seven.

Official line: 2.1 IP, 4 hits, 4 runs, 4 ER, 2 walks, 4 Ks, one grand slam home run.

I'm sure it has to do with COVID, some of these guys are probably driving to the road ballparks on their own, or aren't allowed into the clubhouse before getting on the bus. In normal times I wouldn't think the players are responsible for these things at all!

Some of the new guys in the bullpen looked good. Kintzler and Watson notably. Not great velocity but really good command and changing speeds for both. I'd be surprised if both don't make the team.

The prospects did not get too many plate appearances. Stott looked pretty anxious up there. Liked the little I saw of Rojas. Drew a walk at the plate and made a nice running catch on the foul line in LF. Wheeler did not look great but he lost some calls on borderline pitches and its the Spring.

Holding that Yankee lineup to 5 hits while striking out 10 is pretty impressive. Moniak continues to hit every ball hard. His hit was smoked. He really looks confident and like he knows what he is doing up there. I hope he gets more at bats to see if this is a fluke or a transformation.
