I do recall that Leyva started '91 on the hot seat. Leyva would never manage again but he had a very long career on numerous ML coaching staffs after he and the Phillies parted ways. Leyva was a member of the Pirates' staff as recently as 2016, a full twenty-five years after his ML managerial career ended.
