Fultz does not have an ugly shot, IMHO. He is hurt. I had a shoulder problem a few years ago from overuse as a teacher of tennis. The first time I saw his adjustment on his "new shot", I knew what he was going through. I couldn't lower a window, lift a half gallon of milk or roll down a car window. I had no strength at all, especially from the center of my core. I could no more make a foul shot than fly. Absolutely no arm strength. I had a shoulder operation, took a few months to re-build the flexibility and power and have been perfect for years since.
I don't know, nor does anyone else seem to know, the back story on this 19 year old but my guess is that his agent is calling the shots. I predict that trying to avoid surgery will fail. He will go under the knife sooner rather than later and then we will have an amazing point guard, after recovery. This "ugly shot" is going to ruin his psyche and his public image and is a shame. It is simply a very young man trying his best to get back on the court while taking very bad advice from his advisors. His form in college was fine....a little fine tuning while focusing on BB full time and he would have been just what the Sixers needed. He will be again.
