This may be the most mismanaged player in the history of the City. Sure, he got touches his rookie year and they even moved Embiid to try to get Jah on the court, but keeping him on the team like this and actually thinking someone, somewhere will give you anything for him is insanity.

Super curious to know exactly who it is that is mandating he even remain on the team. Just let him go. It's not fair to Jah or the fans intelligence to keep him around. Can't believe I'm defending the guy, but he's been nothing but professional through all of this. The Sixers player management is atrocious.

Watching Amir so far Jah is better than him, and cheaper.

I think they might be upset at him for ditching practice with an intestinal upset 2 days prior to the opener.

Whats going to bother me is when Jah gets out of here and starts somewhere else. He'll end up being a 15/16-8/9 player. Some coach will find out what buttons to push with him and he'll end up being adequate defensively. What a wasted pick for the Sixers.

poor ending. they stopped moving and gave simmons the ball. he can't score if he can't make it to the basket. he was cut off and then had to get rid of the ball. they didn't get any good shots. also, except for the last shot gordon's move is a head fake, jump forward and yell and he'll get the 3 foul shots. they should have had this one.

I understand. But his roster management seems dictated by the front office. For someone from the Spurs coaching tree, he does the most un-Spurs like things of anyone

That was a fantastic win last night in Houston. They were without Paul but we were without Redick and Fultz. Dario and TJ are contributing and Simmons and Embiid are playing like stars.

If simmons can develop any kind of outside shot he will be darn near impossible to defend.

Simmons hit 4 foul-line jumpers last night, two of which were step-backs. Surprised the heck out of me--he was really shooting confidently.

Simmons has shown 15 foot range in a few games now, I think it isnt as bad as advertised. It would be nice to see him stretch it to 18 feet,but that is probably for another season. With his ability to drive and size if he can knock down 15 foot jumpers he is going to be unguardable. He probably can do that now, just needs to do it every night not just some nights.

This is fun. Beating Houston in Houston is no small task.

Unbelievablly terrible - Colangelo's likely return for both Noel & Okafor will be Justin Andersen and a heavily protected 1st rd pick that likely will become a pair of 2nd rd picks in 2017 and 2020.

Nerlens Noel is getting 20 minutes a night on a pretty bad Mavericks team.

I was really excited when they drafted Okafor but he really hasn't shown much in the opportunities he's had.

According to this morning's Inquirer, other teams are actually demanding that the Sixers give up an asset such as a player like Covington or a first round pick for the privilege of getting Okafor off their hands. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up having to waive him if Okafor really becomes unhappy.

It seems to me they didn't ruin their trade value so much as misjudge it. Centers ceased to be the commodity they once were and Okafor was not as good as people thought. Their handling of it certainly didn't help but they should have done one or both of these deals a lot sooner. If you go back to last year's thread at this time though, I think there were a lot of people shooting down fantasy/rumor deals for Noel that didn't sound good enough (but were certainly better than what they got).

Okafor is asking for a buyout.
