Minor League Rosters as of COB 8/31 (prior to any 9/1 transactions listed below). Click on the image for an enlarged view:

Note that I've listed all players on rosters of clubs whose seasons have ended (FSL, GCL, DSL) as "on roster," since Injured Lists, Restricted Lists, etc., do not apply in the off-season.

Yep. Although I have to note that the IronPigs already have an IF/OF playing outfield regularly (Pirela), and Williams and Shane Robinson are the only true OFs on the AAA roster now (Jan Hernandez is on the IL.)... and I doubt anybody in the front office wants to pull an OF out of Reading, heading into the playoffs, just to fill out the AAA roster through tomorrow. If Williams isn't called up after tomorrow's IronPigs game, that would be a loud statement.

Yeah, that was interesting. They started Castillo, Pirela and Canelo in the outfield - three infielders.

You might say that sends a message about Nick Williams - most particularly, a message to other organizations. It will be interesting to see if he's still in a doghouse tomorrow. (Unless there's an injury we don't know about, of course...)

I think other teams probably know all they need to know about Nick Williams, which is why he isn't already playing for one of them (i.e. no trade offer was worth more than his value as depth). I also can't help but still think that the Phillies don't like how he handled his demotion(s), though it wouldn't reflect too well on them if they held a grudge (by not calling him up. Though a low-budget team would probably pinch those pennies). Obviously he will still get a chance somewhere next year.

Pirela, Pivetta, Williams and Franco will probably all be up when they are eligible and when the IronPigs season ends. I kinda wanted to see Listi up, too.

Nick Williams has joined the Phillies in Cincinnati, so the team is at 31 active players. More call-ups will come later this week.

The one potential call-up who could really help that we have heard little from is Quinn. Would really be nice to plug him into a L/R CF platoon with Haseley.

For Pivetta and Franco, does the 10-day rule expire when the minor league season ends? If so they both could be up tomorrow. Not as sure about Pirela as he may not add more than Gosselin.

Quinn is already up but on the IL. If and when he is ready to come off the IL, he will be on the active roster.

I think Quinn was expected to be out at least a month. It's not like he can just pinch-run either.

He has a strained groin. Look up the expected return time from that injury for a player in MLB, and add 50% - because if you don't add 50% before you let Quinn on the field, he'll just re-injure it.

Well, we might run out of season before that happens at least. But yeah. Maybe he's available for the last 8 or 10 games, best-case.

I was just noting the radio silence about Quinn in all the callup articles. Agree that probably means he is not back for a few more weeks at least even though he might be the callup that could have made the biggest difference and played the most.

Well, not a call-up, but yes, we've had updates on all the pitchers (including Ramos) so you'd think he'd get mentioned too. I think all the players we've had updates on actually had some kind of activity or follow-up medical exam though. So we can assume Quinn's not ready for either.

Yeah, there's been no glimmer of even a report of him working out, running, etc., much less a rehab assignment. Feels very much like 'gone for the season,' even if they haven't said that.

None of these guys is going to be added to the 40-man roster (which stands currently at 40, with eleven additional players on either the 60-day IL or the Restricted List). At least most of 'em will probably move on to other organizations (or just retire, in the case of several who are in their mid-30s).
