Add the Phils' wins and the other team's losses. Subtract from 163. Subtract an additional 1 if you have the tiebreaker. Voila!!

You know, I was conflicted. Given that there are multiple other teams involved, you might want to run the calculation for each of several other teams. In that case, you might argue that "teams' " was correct. (Or at least, "...each other team's losses..."

I wasn't going to touch this with a ten-foot pole...

Phillies 5, Mets 4 (10 innings). Alec Bohm's third walk-off single of the season wins it. Phils have a 4-game lead over AZ for No. 1 NL Wild Card with 8 to play. If Phils finish just 4-4, D-backs can't catch them because Phils own the season tiebreaker.

The Cubs and Diamondbacks both have tough schedules remaining. The Marlins and Reds have an easier go of it. Gotta play the games, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see one of them sneak in.

My comment was mostly tongue in cheek, truly. But I think if you go with the plural it opens the door for all other teams collectively, not selective. If there would have been a qualifier - e.g., 'respective' - then the diction is settled.
