Phillies tickets question

Going to the game today and while I'm perfectly comfortable buying on Stubhub (for cheap) or the website, I'm curious: now that tickets are mobile-only what happens if you just walk up to the window, do they text or email you the tickets? (This has already happened to me at a concert in NY.) And are there scalper or fan-to-fan deals on the street using phones?

With the Nats (and I think most MLB teams since they all use the same tech) they can send the ticket to your phone or let you print a PDF. Scalpers often use those PDFs which worries me since they are so easy to copy and I have seen others complain that their ticket was already scanned. I imagine there are "good" scalpers out there that know how to send the ticket to your phone. I guess I am willing to pay a bit more for the MLB app or Stubhub to do that.

Enjoy the game. I could not get to the 5-game series they had down here earlier but hopefully I can make one the next time.

I too would have concerns with street scalpers. I used stubhub for our tickets to the July 22 game vs the Cubs. My first CBP game in quite a while. The tickets I bought were basically the same price as using the ticket office except I was able to get the front row of the Hall of Fame section. I could have also gotten front row in the outfield, but went with the HOF section as we have never sat there. That is one thing I like about SH is that I can usually find a seat better than I can get at the ticket office for about the same price. Happy hunting.

It is kind of reality that most season ticket-holders can't make every game, so there are lots of available tickets especially for midweek games on Stubhub.

I have a reasonable comfort level with street scalpers, and always enjoyed the hustle, but for sure, the digital era creates more opportunities to get ripped off, while high supply on Stubhub means you don't even need to hustle.

Last year when we went to a game in Queens I was able to screenshot the QRs to give to people who didn't have app log-ins, despite it saying you couldn't, but this year it doesn't seem to be an option (the QR is animated).

I did go with Stubhub, I did get a steal (a 4pm weekday game is really the worst of both worlds for lots of people I imagine) and I didn't have to do anything to receive the tickets, I guess since it's an official partnership the Ballpark app and Stubhub share email info and I can scan the tix from either app.

Pretty sure stubhub is kicking in a few dollars to the Phillies as part of their fee to help pay for the Castellanos contract. Let's hope he starts to earn it today.

Also turns out that if you buy on Stubhub you do get a more easily saved/screenshotted QR.
