As much as relievers are fungible and youth is good, sometimes players without options are just better (and, obviously, more experienced) than players with options. But yeah, surely Morgan is gone and Garcia (who is no kid) is expendable. Considering Ramos and Neris both spent time in the minors this year it's hard to know what their value/future is. I think I'd rather have their potential, even Neris's hot finish and "closer" pedigree isn't going to get you much. Neither of them seem like sure-thing high-leverage relievers but both have stuff, and have both done it (and also failed).
If you think they are going to add a closer type or at least a lefty that's one more guy without options. Given their preference for churn it's entirely possible they won't do that (or anoint a closer again, I can't really see where it cost them any games this season. Bullpen wound up being the best piece of team).
Maybe they can find a somewhat overpaid LOOGY and trade a few guys they were gonna move on from anyway.
I would agree De Los Santos' career as a Phillies starter is over, especially if they don't trade or convert one of the current 3-5 starters (since one of them is unlikely be part of the Opening Day rotation).
