Forbes (of course) does a bi-annual (??) estimate of all the sports' franchise values using a 7 part analysis (TV rights, stadium economics yada yada), and publishes at least the Top 50.
The Dec '24 publication pegged the Celts at $6.0B (#19 most valuable). I remember that last year when the Phils sold their minority slice the imputed franchise valuation was also within $0.1 of the Forbes estimate, and when Cuban sold the controlling interest in the Mavs it was dead-on.
Makes you wonder why you need to pay Morgan Stanley $xxxx to tell you what you should be paying in these deals.
