I'm in. Didn't experience any problems, bt i have not put the board through the rounds. The new interface is a lot to get used to. It might be nice to have an announcement/tour of the new board to introduce us to all the new features and new organization.

I made it last evening. I was a little trying as I couldn't remember which email I used for this site and thought it may have been an old out of date one. Thankfully I had updated it to the current one. I do not like the _ separating words in name. I thought I had an avatar previously, but maybe I didn't.

I hope those who never had an avatar (I don't believe I did) opt to add one, I feel like the threads will be a little easier to navigate (especially when quoting) with fewer generic letter icons.

How do you quote someone else's post within yours?

Looks like you have to highlight the post you want to quote and click on the quote mark that magically appears when you do that.

Also, another way to do it is after you hit reply, you see a little dialogue balloon at the top of the place where you post your reply, just to left of the bold and italic links.

The three bars can be used to move out of the thread to various locations, but I am still finding it less convenient than the old board on that point. Probably just being used to the old and I suspect in a week or two, I won't remember the old board at all.

This is just 'my way,' of course, but what I've taken to doing is this: first, I go to the 'Unread" view, which lists thread that have unread posts. I click on the first one, and read it. Then I type "u" (for "up"), and it takes me back where I was before - to the Unread posts listing. I click on the next one, and read that. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Alterrnatively, typing "gh" (for "go home") takes me to the categories listing, which I do see as "home."

Your mileage may vary, of course.

It wasn't immediately obvious to me how to get back in, though. I eventually figured out that the "Forgot Password" link was the way (one way?) to get a new password set. Might be helpful to state that explicitly in one of the post-migration Tech Support threads.

One thing I can't find, and am bemoaning a bit if lost, is if my old signature migrated over. I'm okay if the new software doesn't support signatures, but I had been keeping it updated with my all-time attended games record at CBP, totaling over 100 games. Probably should have stowed that info away somewhere else too.

Ok, I figured it out. Not as easy as the old boards, but easy enough.

Or easier, depending on what you want to quote. It's a bit more to do, if you want to quote the entire post. It's a whole lot easier, if you want to quote an excerpt from the post, rather than the whole thing.
