Larry Bowa and Juan Samuel have each agreed to contracts with the Phillies for the 2016 season, Manager Pete Mackanin announced today. Bowa will resume his role as bench coach while Samuel will assume third base coaching responsibilities.
Bowa, 69, will be in uniform for his 51st year associated with MLB and his 32nd with the Phillies. He has served as bench coach and infield instructor for Philadelphia since the 2014 season after previous stints with the club as third base coach (1988-96) and manager (2001-04).
