I have a personal story with Schilling, back in the 1990's when he was still on the Phillies, I was at the King Of Prussia mall and I was going into a store that was just about to pull down the gate to close and I asked, could I please come in, I just need 1 thing, and there was a guy behind me, and I said, I'm sure he just needs one thing too, can we come in, and they kindly let us in. We both went to the same area of the store and he turned to thank me and it was Curt Schilling, we talked a bit, I told him what a big fan I was and how great I thought he pitched in the 1993 playoffs and I also told him about the fasted game I ever went to which was him vs. Greg Maddux where they dueled scorelessly for 8 innings, Phils scratched out a run in the 9th and won and the whole game was something like 1:41. He was very courteous and nice, shook my hand and wished me well after we checked out and left the store wished each other happy holidays, it was one of the nicest interactions I've ever had with a famous athlete.
It really saddens me to see what a lousy human being he has become.
