Yup, the story is that his name was put on the list by accident. Who knows if that is really true but the perception is the package we gave up was already more than sufficient and called for no more than a throw-in, and he was not that.
A trade with all kinds of stories, really. Santana. Singleton, who was the Scott Kingery of his day (a contract before he even played a game) but couldn't stop smoking weed. And Cosart who the Astros flipped. Certainly the worst of Amaro's trades in terms of both what they got and what they gave up (especially given how little they got for flipping Pence again, relative to his performance later).
And Villar was for Oswalt along with Happ and Gose, so not a bad haul for Houston on that one either overall.
