The Astros selected the contract of Joey Loperfido from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, and he will likely play some first base, but Brown indicated that he'd mostly be used in the outfield. The 24-year-old was set to make his major league debut Tuesday night against the Guardians in left field, leaving Jon Singleton to fill in for Abreu at first base. Singleton entered Tuesday hitting .238 with 10 hits and no RBIs.

Bees are extremely important for all the pollenating they do. It's a bit alarming that bee numbers have been shrinking. Save them if we can!

If the Marlins were willing to give up Arraez for a bag of nothing it’s time to give them a call and see what else they are willing to move. That looked like an Ed Wade deal to get as many names as possible instead of anything close to the value of what they gave up.

I doubt Chisholm is really available. This is not an old school Marlins fire sale this is the new Rays model. Two very different salaries and ages.

I also wouldn't trade a potential gold glover who's controllable through 2030 for someone who will start to be expensive sooner and a free agent in 2027. This team desperately needs to have some cheap young players.
