I will be away from home for about a month starting in the middle of June, and so I'm transitioning to using a server at home to do all of the threads. This way I won't have to worry about finding wifi access while I'm traveling (for example, on an airplane). This transition is mostly done, but there are still bugs, sorry!

My gosh,the pitching for the DSL Phillies has been horrendous. andyb, which players should we be following? Cedeno is 17, bit left handed hitting outfielder, is he one to keep an eye on?

He is 17 and a new signee and starting so that is always a sign that the Phillies like him more than most. The only OF in DSL that was an announced bonus was Jefferson Encarnacion. He and a few catchers are the only position players with large bonuses that we know about.

BTW it would be logical for DSL to be a bit worse this year as we transition to 2 GCL teams. Players may be getting promoted a bit sooner than in the past. Also, the 60+ signees this year might be a sign we moved more of the 19-20 year olds out of the team. So our team could be younger than in the past and thus perform a little worse in the standings.

Moniak was either ejected or injured after a strikeout. Out of the game after 1 at bat.

Today, Jim Peyton over at phuturephillies.com has indicated that Moniak was injured.

Apparently Mickey Moniak may have injured himself on a swing the night before last. He was held out of last night’s game. This type of event is often an oblique. I saw Kelly Dugan felled by an oblique in 2013 ST. He missed the first 3 weeks of the season. He missed 7 weeks the following year in Reading with the same injury. So, is Moniak does have an oblique, he may be sidelined until late July. However, I’ve heard nothing official yet.
