Stankewitz--rehabbing from off-season ankle surgery--not out too much longer, according to him.

As reported earlier, Fanti with a back problem, no time frame yet.

One reliever that might be progressing as a LOOGY is Kyle Dohy at Lakewood. K rate is way up this year. They should move him up to Clearwater relatively quickly (as he might be needed there).

Clearwater Bullpen strugglers:

Jakob Hernandez--jumped from WMPT where he was very effective in relief--13.50 ERA
Alexis Rivero--pitched at LV and Reading last year, was fine at Reading--12.79 ERA
Jeff Singer--pitched well at CLW last year, finished at Reading--9.95 ERA
Ismael Cabrerra--pitched decently at Lakewood last year, badly at CLW--6.43 ERA
Aaron Brown--converting to pitching, not much expected yet--8.64 ERA

Wow, indeed. And Moniak hitting .160 and continuing to struggle. CLW is warm weather, it's where the players just finished minor league ST. There should be no adjustment into the season. The team is 3-11 and was expected to be quite a lot better than this. Only 14 games, but the whole team seems befunked. Hall has his HRs, but his BA is unimpressive. You can say small sample size, but 14 games equates to close to a season of pitching and hitting for an individual player. It wouldn't hurt for TPTB to start investigating what is wrong with the player development process at CLW, and I guess also in ST. Perhaps there isn't a problem and the players all have a ton of new things they've been asked to work on and it will click for most of them by the second half of the season. Still, this is mighty discouraging. The farm as a whole has been kind of disappointing/below expectations thus far. The new order has shaken up a lot of stuff and made a lot of changes. I know that we should give at least half a season, likely more, time to see if the changes are a plus or minus, but... emotionally this seems troubling, as does the failure of our last 3, quite primo, number one picks to show any signs at all of flourishing. Not busts yet, but truly disappointing.
