Also, Deivy (or is it Deivi?) Grullon is off to a nice start at LHV. I'm kinda hoping he's the backup catcher next season as I have soured on Andrew Knapp.

Technically, since he's on rehab (rather than an actual assignment to AAA) couldn't they also just bring him on the plane without activating him? (And then do so if needed, for Herrera, or at any point if Segura's ready and they want to swap him for Gosselin).

The bench should be a player larger next season as they go to 26 players on the active roster. Evidently there will be a limit on pitchers but the article I read indicated that it was not set as yet. I expect it will be a 26 man roster with a limit on pitchers of 13. That would mean a bullpen of 8 and a bench of 5.

Yes. But this is just about whether Quinn is allowed to travel with the team if he hasn't yet been called up. Like, when the Phillies sent Eflin down last year he did actually have to report to Lehigh Valley after a certain amount of time. And if Walding got on the plane, I would think he would have to be called up after a certain amount of time. But Quinn is on a rehab assignment that is transferrable to just about anywhere (including extended spring training) so it seems to me that if they wanted to bring him along and say he was "rehabbing" with the major league training staff on the road, that's fine.

Anyway if Segura and Herrera both can't play for a couple of days I would think one of them has to go on IL and Quinn gets the call.

Strong bodied lefty with a Big-league fastball. The curve and change are just average, but this guy is going to pitch in the majors some day. Don’t know what he’ll amount to, but that’s a heck of a get for where he was drafted.
