It is a bit challenging for baseball in NH. 46 degrees and drizzling almost all day. A double header is twice as tough. (Yes, I know the Fisher-Cats have the same weather but they are probably more used to this cold)

None of the hitters can seem to get it going on the Reading team. Hitting is contagious and so is lack of hitting. The weather has for the most part stunk this first month and a half but hopefully it will warm up soon along with the bats.

There are so many legitimate prospects off to slow starts that you wonder if they did some wholesale tinkering in ST and it's gonna take some time for some players to absorb the changes. You expect a few to struggle, but not half of your top 30!

Yeah, that team is actually preforming well at the plate. Wish Scheiner were there getting full-time ABs...I think he's as good offensively as Maton.

Lakewood is my big disappointment, thought they'd be a top team in their league.
The struggles of Moniak and Haseley are concerning.

Lakewood is by far the youngest team in their league. It might be our most prospect-heavy roster and really most of the prospects have played to expectations. I fully expect Garcia to do better and the pitching has been great relative to age. Ignore the record. They have not really been that disappointing.

Agree with Andy. Take my favorite prospect Carlos de la Cruz - hitting .200, but has K/BB numbers that are about the same as they were last year 2 levels lower. No reason to think he can’t figure it out and make it a productive year (of course, maybe not, but there is still plenty of reason not to be pessimistic yet).
