West wins again. It was a continuation game--Glogoski pitched only one inning--struck out the side but gave up a HR. Trejo with a multi hit game (again), O'Hoppe 1/4; Garcia 1/4, offense distributed throughout the lineup.

Seems like DSL Phils White and Red have been scoring lots of runs lately.

Michael King, who shut down the Fightins tonight, is a fast rising prospect for Trenton. The Yankees traded for him last year, I have no idea how they spotted him and why the Marlins would give him up for Caleb Smith and Garrett Cooper. Cooper is a throw is, Smith is decent and more advanced. That's just a strange trade--the Marlins helped the Yankees clear their 40-man roster, gave up international money, and took a downgrade in talent. Kudos to Cashman.

Haseley was 1/4 in the game, maybe he'll start mashing again...Hall homered.

Maybe he's turned the corner? I mean he is kind of old for the FSL at 20.

Randolph was 352/441/489 for a .930 OPS.
Haseley was 339/461/532 at Reading for a 993 OPS
Moniak was 277/336/489 for his .826 OPS.

FSL at 20 is normal progression for a H.S. draftee, although not for a true 1.1. He was skinny when drafted, so that may have slowed him a little. It's just a huge plus to see him put together a very solid entire month of hitting. I realize it still counts as SSS, but it's not like this is just a one or two week spurt.

Jim Salisbury was kind enough to tweet a response back to me about Sixto. Basically, no surgery, still rehabbing in Fla, taking it slowly with him.

We shall see...I'll feel better when he's back on a mound and strings some appearances together.

I get worrying about Sixto but that's really all anyone can do. He'll either respond to rest and rehab or it will be the worst-case scenario but you still have go through the rest and rehab to find out. Wouldn't feel any better if they'd opted for aggressive surgical intervention.
