We have to talk at least a little bit about Lehigh Valley and Deivy Grullon, too. LV is contending for first in their division of the IL despite losing Cozns to injury and lots of other guys to the majors. The constant producer throughout has been Grullon. He's back up to .361 tonight after a 3/4 with a 2B and a walk. His BABIP is ridiculously high, due in part to hitting NO IF fly balls yet this season, having an LD% of 20% (personal high) and hitting a lot more hard ground balls. The BABIP is unsustainable, but, interestingly, it fell off a bit over the last two weeks and has bounced back up. He uses the whole field almost perfectly pulling 34% of the time, OPPO 32% of the time, and the remaining third going to CF. This represents a big change for him--he was nearly a 50% pull hitter in his other minor league stops.

I'm really rooting for him despite the fact I love JT and there's no place for Grullon to break in. He's got to be worth a lot right now in a trade to a team with catching woes...
