LIsti has been on a roll since his promotion to Lehigh.

Hall made the same jump as Moniak in June, his BB rate skyrocketed, makes you wonder if they did some intensive hitting instruction in May and it started bearing fruit.

Crossing fingers, but the most important outing from a good prospect may be another solid outing from JoJo Romero. Last 3 starts have been pretty good at Reading. K/BB ratio is good even with the bad outings earlier. Really looks like a guy whose command was off and just needed to step back for a couple of months to move forward again.

He won't be the second half help that we need this year, but he is probably back on the radar for next year. Damon Jones is the flavor of the moment and we might as well keep promoting him till he does not pitch well. Still think his stuff speaks more to a relief role, but it really looks like he'll be in Philly if he has a couple of good outings in LHV. At 24 he needed to move quickly and he has.

The criticism on Jones has been that he is a 2-pitch pitcher. He is clearly better throwing 94 than 91 though and maybe his other pitches are better now too because the results have been good. I am also guessing his command has been great this season, which explains the roll he has been on.

I am more intrigued now than at the beginning of the year. Even if this is a hot streak, he might actually be hot enough to help the big league club now on his first time around the league even if his later role is more of a multi-inning once through the lineup reliever (which is where guys with 2 pitches and some stamina normally slot).

Hopefully the success continues and if it does, it might mean the stuff (i.e. secondary pitches) is improving also.

Command is not great, control got better, and breaking ball looks much better to me. Has hitters spooked by the breaking ball making his fastball all the more effective.
