CLW comes from behind on a 3-run Matt Kroon HR and wins 5-3. Ortiz also homers, Nick Maton 3/4 with a double. Eastman with a solid if unspectacular start.

I watched Schultz’s outing at Lakewood. He was 93-97, a hard/shorrt 82-82 slider and 89 change. Control looked a bit better than advertised but it looks like he shows the ball in his delivery a bit long and there isnt a lot of life on his fastball so he may be easier to hit than he should be.

No connection between these two points:

1) First few weeks of Williamsport season (yes, SSS) have certainly thrown some cold water on the Logan O'Hoppe train

2) After a terrible April and mediocre May, lefty reliever Zach Warren has done a better job harnessing his nasty stuff in Clearwater. No earned runs in the month of June, with 18K over 13 innings. He had 100K in 56 innings last year as well.

Score/stats update is slow. Grullon his a 3-run HR a half hour ago, but score says 6-6. HR made it 10-6.
The Iron Pigs sweep their home series against Scranton.
The attendance really jumps when Allentown play SWB -- lots of local Yankees fans. They announce capacity 10,100 ticket sales for yesterday's and today's game. Probably did sell them, but quite a few empty seats at today's game.

Russo can be a rather infuriating pitcher. He logged about 90 pitches in 4 innings, repeatedly getting an 0-2 count only to walk the batter.

An incredibly slow game today. The umpire had a small strike zone and the pitchers were obsessed with throwing to 1B, when the runner was barely off the bag. Talking about length of game -- from the time the SWB manager came out to the mound, finally signaled to the pen, it took forever for the reliever to leave the dugout, the trot to the mound, the warm-up tosses, and repeated throws to 1B -- it was close to 15 minutes until he threw his 4th pitch to the batter.

SWB pitchers threw 205 pitches in 8 IP; Allentown pitchers threw 166 pitches in 9 IP. We benefited from 11 walks. Time of game was 3:44 -- not exactly the direction the commish wants to see.
