Squire, what’s your take on the minor league year? Seems pretty grim, but I don’t follow closely enough to feel like I’ve got a good handle...seems to me like there are three solid propects (Bohm, Howard and Stott, and the rest is...questionable.

Yes. Mostly a disappointment. I mean I can only go by the stats. Good years from Bohm, Haseley, Moniak (mostly...though that OBP still is a disappointment), Howard and Morales. A couple of Pop-up guys in Glogoski, Simmons, Stephen and Grullon. But big step backs for Garcia, Ortiz, Romero, Irvin. Some other guys I thought might pop up like Jake Holmes, Dominic Pipkin, Jhordany Mezquita and Ben Pelletier fell off a cliff. Gowdy and Stobbe turned out to be nothing to be excited about. I mean its definitely not a wasteland but I do think the system as a whole backslid this year (and not because of graduations). At least Bohm, Stott, Howard and Simmons and Erik Miller have restored some faith in Johnny Almaraz for me. I'd also point out that none of the younger reliever guys like Edubray Ramos or Edgar Garcia or Austin Davis or Yacksel Rios could help the major league team at all.

That’s similar to my impression, but better developed as a thought process...Muzziotti and Maton seem like additions to the success list, but Medina I think is in a very disappointing spot.
