And I say the good players overcome such adversity and make it impossible to be sent down. Not that the Phillies haven't mishandled a few players over the years. But Williams wasn't really one of them. They should have traded him, certainly. But he was never benched for playing badly. He was asked to be a bench player because he's not Bryce Harper. He didn't answer the call.
I'm sure Williams will hit 20 HRs for someone, and, like Franco, he will still be a negative player.
