Bryan Rincon feels like a guy to have near the top of potential breakout candidates for next year. I never expected him to hold his own with the bat this year- certainly not at high A as a 19 year old. Very few Ks and nearly as many walks, a little bit of pop showing through, he looks strong and athletic and already seems to have a very good reputation defensively.
Interesting backstory I wasn’t aware of- when he didn’t get signed out of a training academy in Venezuela as a 16 year old he came to the US - by his senior year he was told to expect to be drafted between the 3rd and 10th round, before getting picked in the 14th round.
