Andrew Brown was 93-96 mph in the first two innings- I did not see that coming. 90-93 after the second. He flashed some really good changeups and curveballs too. Very solid Drew Anderson- type stuff.

If Duran can get his average up to like .265 with the power he’s showing, he’ll be discussed as a top 10 system prospect this winter. He’s throwing out 50% of runners. He’s like Deivi Grullon, less 20 lbs. He's really filled out his trunk since I saw him in Williamsport. Fast on the inside pitch, maybe trying to pull everything though.

Brown was very good last year. Assume they held him back for an overall innings limit. Obviously we'll need to see if he can hold the velocity longer to see if he is eventually a starter or reliever. Yet another reason that we should draft and sign several overslot HS arms each year. Hopefully we sign the NC HS pitcher we drafted who definitely fits the mold here (Jake Smith).
