Haseley is more of an issue, at this point he should be heads and shoulders above AA players.

Grullon is worth watching, he always had great power, put on BP exhibitions, but couldn't translate that to games. SSS, but quite a SSS.

It would be funny if Canelo's start is real, after all that money spent on LA IFs, to have him lap the field.

Grullon is not a SSS for most of his progression...his numbers last year were already pretty impressive.

He has a .725 OPS with a .455 BABIP. His BABIP has been around .300 most years because he is not that fast. There is no indication he is any more of a prospect than in previous years.

I don't think Canelo is for real, but just sayin' it would be the way things have gone for the Phillies if he ended up outplaying all the money guys like Gamboa.

When a guy has close to 1,000 plate appearances with a .657 OPS at Reading, I don't think it is out of line to say a .725 OPS fueled by a .455 BABIP is likely luck. I know you now say that you don't think Canelo is real, but this is not the first time you have said he is having a season that represents progress (when we were talking about Gosselin and Romine and Rodriguez as potential callups).

Not regarding the phils, but the Tigers, How" about that Casey Mize" (Harry quote). no hitter last night in his AA debut. Should have been a Phillie. Obviously won't be up for this series but probably up by the end of the season. He would have been a great #1 pick.

Why do you say he should have been a Phillie? No doubt Mize would have gone to the Giants at #2 if the Tigers didn't pick him #1.

There was a trade in the works; Henri Lartigue, Yacksel Rios, Derek Tomscha and Julian Garcia to Detroit for the #1 pick. Klentak pulled it off the table at the last minute.
