Double and now a homer (his 2nd of the season) for Alec Bohm

Another 2-4 night for Bohm with another HR. Can’t imagine that he will be in Lakewood much longer.

With regard to a possible Bohm promotion in the near future, someone put it in very good terms on here a few days ago. They surmised (I think correctly) that the Phillies wanted Bohm to make some swing/mechanical adjustments to enable him to tap into his power before moving him to Clearwater this season. I'm sure they figured that Lakewood is an environment that should enable him to make those adjustments against competition he can handle.

If all goes well, I can see the promotion happening by June 1, giving Bohm three solid months at an age appropriate level in 2019.

Dominant save from Kyle Dohy. He might also be ready for the big leagues. I am sure he'll have a month in AAA, but Alvarez is probably on shaky ground.

I will admit that I'm pleased/relieved by Bohm's recent hot streak. I'd consider promoting him to High A soon not because I believe that one little hot streak earns a promotion but more because I kinda think he should have started there to begin with (and optically I do like the idea of freezing these good Low A stats for him).

I am for promoting Bohm ASAP. While it is nice to see him compile good stats (against competition that he SHOULD compile good stats against), he really needs to be challenged with age-appropriate competition. I am guessing they re-worked his swing a bit, so it is fine to have kept him in Lakewood to do that. With the evidence that whatever he did is working, he needs to play at the proper level to see what we have got because success in Lakewood should not mean that much.

And Jake Holmes needs to play 3B also.
