Curious to see where Starlyn Castillo is these days. I think we were all a little disappointed 2 years ago though he barely pitched then. His issue was always lack of projection and if his stuff was more in the 93-95 range, is he still a top prospect?

Clearwater would put him back on the one level a year course one loves to see with younger prospects. I imagine he'll probably be in the 60-80 inning range this year if things go well because of his age. Hard to know what to expect.

Reading Social Media Account is saying that LHP Jhordany Mezquita is starting for AA Reading tonight.

Ok...RHP Kyle Glogoski was promoted to LHV
LHP Jhordany Mezquita was promoted to Reading
OF Josh Stephan was demoted to Reading (boo).

The combination of larger rosters (30), little travel, smaller divisions, and three consecutive Phillies levels being within a 100 miles or so of each other makes me think these upper level rosters will be more fluid than usual this year. Especially when all the teams are home at the same time. Can't imagine Mezquota and Glogoski are really ready for their new levels, but they are local and scheduled to start so move them around to places where they can actually start. And maybe for Stephen to make sure he is in the lineup because Moniak just took his AAA at bats.

But can a player go from AA to AAA without going through protocol, or does that only apply when going from AA to MLB?

Not much offense last night. Jersey Shore won 1-0 with 1 hit (Bryson Stott double). Decent starts from Leverett, Mezquita and Castillo. Marcano nice following up Castillo. Tough night at the top of the Clearwater lineup (Rojas and Martin go 0-9 with 6 strikeouts). Abraham Gutierrez goes 1-3 with a HR and 2BBs. Gamboa another 1-4, 2B, BB night.
