One sad little change from the new schedule this year is that there are no longer afternoon games to watch. Maybe they'll do a few more in the summer, but with 6-game series and Monday always open as a travel day they really do need afternoon games other than on Sunday or an occasional Saturday (though crowds are better at night on Saturday).

At least we have the big club this afternoon.

Reading rally in the bottom of the ninth falls short; they lose 5-4 with the tying run thrown out at the plate trying to score on a potential sac fly.

LV ties the game in the bottom of the ninth on a Luke Williams RBI single. Headed to extra innings. And they win 5-4, nice inning pitching by Hammer, GW single by Chatham.

Josh Hendrickson was really good last night. Might be an under the radar prospect. Big lefty from Australia drafted in the 38th round out of San Diego University. Pitched well at 2 levels in 2019 and then in the ABL. Don't think he went back home for this past ABL season though. The Phillies think enough of him to put him in the rotation and he is not super old at 23.

Seriously, he's always been a good glove man at multiple positions (previously mostly 2B/SS, now he's added CF)...if he learns to take a few pitches he might be an actual prospect. To be fair, he's drawn walks well over the last two years, his BA has just been so low he's still been an offensive liability. Phils clearly believe in him; he's leading off in AA.

Right now he has an 1.100 OPS with a .167 BA; I don't think I've ever seen that! What a power/patience combination...
