Also, Howard for LHV. Back end of the low minors piggybacks are Castaneda in Clearwater (rare late round HS pitcher signing from 2019) and Skirrow at Jersey Shore (one of the better college NDFAs signed last year for $20K).

Not that I'd argue the system is good but it is kind of quirk of this COVID season isn't it? A handful of guys skipped the level almost completely while Jersey Shore is backed up with guys who would have been promoted late last year or now... and still will be, hopefully.

The games at low-A and AAA yesterday were great, exciting baseball games (which are always made possible by shaky pitching, I guess...). Big GW HR for Stewart, lots of good hitting in CLW and LV. I'm intrigued by Luke Williams who batted third for LV, played three different positions in the game, and went 3/5. I never thought the guy would make AA after he was drafted; he was completely off the board for most scouting services. He's really developed; credit to the Phils' scouts for that pick.

We won't talk about Jersey Shore and Reading...
