Some minor league notes in the back of this column:

Kerkering might be jumped all the way to AA.
Jeff Hoffman exercised an opt out and the Phillies have 48 hours to add him to the 40 or lose him. They can probably move Pache to the 60 even if he is back a little before that. Results are bad but the stuff is good (touching 99).

And Noah Song is throwing bullpens. I wonder if they have to keep him out of the extended games because MLB might think the Phillies are extending his rehab clock.

They could also move Hall to the 60.

It does seem worth hanging onto Hoffman for a few months if they can. He could be a useful arm pretty quickly if he can fix his command. And if they have to DFA him eventually so be it.

YAY. Must have seen I was worried about him.

November free agent signing LHRP Wesley Moore (out of K-State) struck out the side in the 8th and 9th innings to seal the win for CLW who is now 18-6. Moore's ERA is a cool 0.00 so far this season. Moore and Dallas, who pitched the last four innings between them, have yet to give up an earned run this season. Both are old for the league, (23 and 24) which is the running story of the CLW team from top to bottom (sans Boyd and Crawford). I guess the older pitchers will be moving to Jersey Shore at some point.
