For 3 innings Mick Abel was unhittable and dominant. Gave up a solo homer in the 4th but still OK. Then went completely off the rails in the 5th. Which adds up to an ugly box score that obscures innings 1-3.

That kind of performance from Abel doesn't really concern me. That is an "I'm a good prospect but I messed up trying to learn things" vibe.

Lots of good hitting highlights tonight. Ethan Wilson, who was somehow relegated to batting 6th or 7th in the order for a while, returned to the cleanup spot and was 3/4. The kind of night where mostly the prospects got the hits.

I knew Muzzioti had a hot start, but holy crap! .888 OPS in 172 ABs?! 12 BB/22Ks?! At LV, not Reading?! He does have a .399 BABIP, so maybe not sustainable, but wow.

Yeah, impressive so far, but as a potential leadoff hitter, I'd like to see him walk more.

But he's got some catching up to do, so I'd promote Cave before him.
1157 PA from 2016-2019, 286 total in 2020-2022 (missed 2020).
So while he's 24, he's about 1000 PA behind where he should be in terms of experience, especially at higher minor league levels. So he needs all the PA he can get, and not be stuck on the bench in Philly.

He has the tools to be an excellent OF, speed and arm, but hasn't shown it yet, probably again a product of the lack of experience. Has added some pop, ISO .196 in Reading last year, .128 this year.
