A little Cornelius Randolph from a couple of days ago, off old friend Sam McWilliams.https://twitter.com/MBPTakeover/status/1396652472706416642
Randolph on base 4 times with 3 walks.
Pitchers are scared of him now?
I say DFA Joyce and bring Randolph up/ put him on the 40.
Too soon IMO. Hes had a few weeks of success after years of disappointment. Need to see something longer
Morning Call has a more detailed article on Randolph. Sounds like he got in better shape and really took it upon himself last year to work on some of the weaknesses in his swing.
No hurry on promoting him, but if he does this for another month or so I'd think about it.
Agreed!
Get him a season of success.
I don't know- "more seasoning" is usually to let a guy learn to work through failure. I think he's past that bar. At this point I'd give him another week or two to make sure it's not a flash in the pan to merit dropping whoever has to go from the 40.
He's had almost 2000 MILB at bats and he's had about 2 weeks of success...you aren't rewarding true development but rewarding a hot streak...give him at least 200 at bats before talking about anything.
At worst, it looks like Randolph will get a cup of coffee or two in The Show and avoid the stigma of being a first round pick who never made it to the top.
