Ortiz (2B) and Carlos De La Cruz (HR) continue to be hot.

Good outing by McGarry (2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K). 45 pitches was likely his limit.

If not for his walk/k rates and that he's doing this at Reading, I imagine he'd be in the top 100 in baseball. Though I guess the same assumption could be made about a lot of guys, but he's hitting the ball soooo hard.

Top 100 is probably a bit much given his age, but top 200 would be reasonable. We really should be watching Jhailyn Ortiz now too. 10 BB and only 11 Ks going into today in 72 plate appearances. If Bryce can play 1B we do have an opening for another outfielder. Could be a healthy Pache. Could be Muzziotti. Could be Cave. Could be Ortiz. Could be 2 of them if we replace the Clemens/Guthrie combo on the roster.

This lineup could really use another bat with power. And another OF that can play decent defense.

One other note - Sanchez struggling again for LHV. He is not the 5th starter answer at the moment unfortunately.

Gelb with the Orion Kerkering article. Apparently he touched 102 the other night. He did give up a 2-run HR last outing. Updates on Lee and Rickets. Jordi Martinez converted to the bullpen but throwing upper 90s now is a LHP to watch.

I watched one at bat where he eventually walked but swung through belt high 89 mph fastballs from a righty. Not sure what's going on there.
