Yesterday's round up...Best news was probably Hao Yu (autocorrect changed it to Had You) Lee getting back to work and showing no ill effects of the leg injury, stealing a base and getting thrown out on a close play at the plate.

Jack Dallas pitched 3 innings in the CLW game to close out a bullpen day. I wonder if they are stretching him out? At 24 yrs old, I'd expect a promotion soon with his success in CLW. Maybe they want him to start in JS (or Reading???)?

He needs to get a bat from a tree struck by lightning and name it Wonderboy...I guess he hits from the wrong side of the plate, though.

OK, Just for fun, here is my early season all-prospect team by position. Mostly guys I would love to see continue to do well. A personal list, not based on top-prospect lists: (alternates with a *)

C--Caleb Ricketts, JS: 954 OPS at CLW, Hitting almost .300 at JS
1B--Carlos De la Cruz Reading: .509 SLG at Reading, looks good defensively at 1B
1B*--Rixon Wingrove, JS: 874 OPS at JS is nothing to sneeze at, even for a LHB
2B--Hao Yu Lee, JS: .405 OBP ất Jerseey Shore in a pitcher's environment
SS--William Bergolla, Rookie League: (no stats yet)
SS*--Casey Martin, JS: 777 OPS for the defensive wizard, but he's a senior citizen in A+ ball
3B--Otto Kemp, CLW: 880 OPS, but old for the league [Drew Ellis, Matt Kroon, and Nick Ward are all playing well, Ellis especially with a +1000 OPS in 10 games at Reading, but all appear to be career minor league type players]
LF--Simon Muzziotti, LV: 962 OPS with a .395 AVG, I'm not happy he's playing so much LF
RF--Ethan Wilson, Reading: 1010 OPS is encouraging even though the sample size is small
CF--Justin Crawford, CLW: 757 OPS, but patience and power are still developing

Pitching...(top 3 guys are all either missing (Painter, McGarry) or inconsistent(Abel))
RHSP--Alex MacFarlane, CLW: AM has 31 Ks in only 22 innings so far.
LHSP--Samuel Aldegheri, CLW: 30 Ks in 21 IP against only 6 walks
[starting pitching prospects are scarce right now above low-A]

RHRP-- Orion Kierkering, JS: 19 Ks and 2 BBs in 12 innings actross two levels
RHRP--Jack Dallas, CLW: 0.44 ERA with 23 Ks in 20 IP; they might be stretching him out to start
RHRP--Brett Schulze, Reading: 21 Ks and only 4 BBs, a few too many HRs early
LHRP--Wesley Moore, CLW: 26 Ks and 6 BBs in 15 IPs with a 0.60 ERA
LHRP--Jordi Martinez, JS: 17 Ks in 14 IP with good control

Agree...I was thinking it was too late, but if he stays hot for another week or two I would be willing to reconsider...

Phils are batting him 4th in the order, which means they are probably still on board.

Wen Hui Pan needs to be double-jumped, soon.

If you read Matt's comment from the article it seems like they are taking a methodical path for him at start. He has too many pitches at the moment and they want to stretch him out to be a starter which will be more difficult than a late inning reliever.

I think he will get a promotion relatively soon (June?) but the pressure to get him all the way to Reading this season is probably not there since he has much to learn still. He clearly should be on a faster track than McFarlane for instance but don't think either will move quickly until next year (if performances continue to be good). Getting 80-100 healthy innings out of either one of them might be more important than where those innings are.

The guys at Clearwater can't really help Pan choose his best pitches, though, since they can't seem to hit any of 'em. I would certainly take 100 healthy innings...
