Miller and Caba aren't disappointing, maybe the Phillies have turned a corner.

It's early to speculate about Miller and Caba, but you're right, so far so good. Might be a good problem to have in 2 or 3 years; no place to play 'em!

I tuned into the Lehigh game to checkout Max Lazar only to be wowed by 30 year old Ryan Burr. His stuff was explosive- 95 mph that looked like it jumped at batters, really good cutter, and what looked like a power curve that he had some rediculous torque on- early in the inning he was locating it on the black and it looked as unhittable as a good Keirkering sweeper. He’s got 19 k in 9 innings- based on his past numbers I’d have a hard time believing he’s ever thrown the ball like this before. At times it looked like dominant closer stuff.

Maybe the gun was slow, but all three were 88-91 mph while the tigers starter was 95.

Looking at Burr's history, you have to think this is a SSS anomaly, he's always thrown 95 or so, had one decent half season in the majors in 2021, otherwise an AAA+ pitcher.

If he keeps it up, maybe the cutter/curve are new/improved pitches?

A jump like this is usually a guy recovering from injuries and finally reaching his potential, but in this case there's no reason to expect a jump.
