Plassmeyer is a low stuff, low velocity lefty with good control who has had problems in AAA. As a baseball trade, the IronPigs moved a catcher for much needed rotation depth. From a MLB perspective you are looking at spot starter upside, but that is unlikely to happen.

Wynns is actually going to the big leagues for the Giants with Joey Bart not hitting, but given that he is our 5th catcher (behind Realmuto, Stubbs, Marchan, and Sands) and O'Hoppe would probably jump ahead of him in a real emergency this almost looks like they are doing Wynns a favor now that someone else has an unexpected opportunity.
