Definitely a great start. I'd be fine with Abel staying the whole year at Clearwater. Apparently he was throwing almost all fastballs yesterday. I wonder if the control issues a few starts ago led the Phillies to back up and start integrating his other pitches a little more slowly.
This is a learning and stamina year for Abel. Next year they can get more aggressive with promotions, but this year I think I want him to learn how to be a professional pitcher step by step.
