Lehigh could have a heck of a second half, if the Phillies are 6-7 games back at the All star break, leave the kids there with developmental coaches and don't bring them up until September - I think one problem they've had is rushing kids b/c of lack of depth to fill in for injuries, and along with COVID, that has slowed the development of some players.
Kingery has basically said he's happy he was DFA'd b/c they have to leave him in Lehigh and he can play every day and work on his swing - and I've noticed his walk rate is up, he may also be focusing on plate discipline. Without the pressure to produce, a young player can tweak his mechanics and not freak out if he has a bad month.
