Nice outing from Luis Gonzalez who is one of our younger starters in the DSL. Still 17 though he was part of the 2022 international class. He was only a $10K bonus guy so he probably does not have big stuff, though they did like him enough to regularly start him last season (where the younger kids who are not quite ready to start pitch in relief).

The boxscore has Gonzalez with 28 pitches over 18 batters in 5 IP. Can that be right? I don't think so.

For the last couple of years complex game pitch counts (all the time in the DSL, often in FCL) are logged as 4 pitches for a walk, 3 for a K, and 1 for every batter. I have no idea why. That formula is not perfect. He faced 18 batters and got 4Ks (so at least 8 more pitches) but it gets one close to reality.

Probably need to double their count at least. Regardless, a nice outing.

Muzziotti is pretty impressive. Seems like every ball he hits is a line drive. He just line drived a ball about 410 to dead center for a 2 run dinger to put "Bacon" (on their shirts!) ahead 4-0. Swings easy- must have strong, fast wrists. On NESN, he looked small but he is 6'1". What's not to like?

Right do we want to swap Marsh for Cave or Marsh for Muzziotti? Both of these guys really a factor in setting a trade deadline path too. Cave is 30 but Phillies can keep him for two more years. And Muzziotti is either becoming tradeable himself or makes you think harder about trading Rojas (with Crawford then coming along a few years later, though who knows).
