Kyle Dohy released. He really hit a ceiling at AAA. I thought he had enough stuff, but too little command.

Phillies released Kyle Dohy, a lefty reliever who reached the majors at the end of last season. He was pitching at Triple A.

Muzziotti in the FCL lineup on a rehab assignment. Viars out again today.

Do other organizations have the flood of injuries that seems to hit us?

Some notes on rehabbing pitchers at the complex here:

I can't remember a Gavin Tonkel mention. I wonder if Viars might get a promotion to Clearwater at some point. He has started hitting of late and I think they wanted to get him to Clearwater at some point this year if healthy.

From that pitching article Nicoly Pina seems promising. TJ surgery back in 2019 so he has missed 2 entire seasons. He could be a relatively fast moving bullpen arm if he ever got back to the mound regularly.

At least the Phillies not singled out in this one. 2/3 of teams weren't paying last year but wound up doing so eventually.

Have to be disappointed to watch 26 year old Albertus Barber blow a lead earned by the 18-20 year old FCL Phillies.
