I mean, I think what's notable about this is more the fact that MLB is responsible for the minors, and as such, this seems totally correct, and probably should have been the case even before that (i.e. the players and managers/coaches don't work for the people who own the Blue Claws, they work for the Phillies, and now the entire infrastructure is run by MLB rather than team owners and their now-defunct umbrella organization).
I guess my only question is do the players still get fined personally (as in the majors)?
