Painter was high in the zone his entire 3 inning outing allowing 3 er and his first home run allowed.

Painter stuck out 3 in a 1-2-3 first inning hitting 100 on the HV scoreboard. Got into trouble in the third inning. After a solo home run, he allowed a single followed by a pair of walks to load bases. Second run scored on a hit and third on bases loaded walk.

Blueclaws tied game and then went up by a run before Baker exploded in the big 6 run inning by Hudson Valley. That put game away, although the Claws did have the tying run at the plate when the game ended.

Rojas also walked twice in addition to his two hits. Five claws had two hits each.

Painter from yesterday throwing a nice 3-2 curve to get a batter in the middle of a jam he partially created with his walks. Still a lot to like from this outing even if it showed how more advanced hitters will lay off some pitches.

MLB fining parent clubs for minor-league brawls, bench-clearing incidents:...

The commissioner’s office this season has instituted a fine of the parent club of any minor league team that has a bench-clearing incident, sources told The Athletic. The fine starts at $500 and doubles with every subsequent incident, one club source said, leaving a parent club that has two or more incidents in its farm system with at least a four-figure bill.

“If they leave the dugout or the bullpen, the organization gets fined,” said another club source.

Well this is kinda ridiculous. ANd not much of a deterrent. I think a team could brawl every day and still cost less than Juerys Famila.

But even so.. if one team runs out of the filed, the other team should sit there and let their guys on the field be outnumbered?

I mean, I think what's notable about this is more the fact that MLB is responsible for the minors, and as such, this seems totally correct, and probably should have been the case even before that (i.e. the players and managers/coaches don't work for the people who own the Blue Claws, they work for the Phillies, and now the entire infrastructure is run by MLB rather than team owners and their now-defunct umbrella organization).

I guess my only question is do the players still get fined personally (as in the majors)?
