Mick Abel lasts just 4 2/3 IP tonight throwing 100 pitches, he allowed 5 hits, 5 runs, 5 ER, 6 BB and 4 Ks
I’m only through 2 innings, but he looks like a guy who is tired to me. He’s thrown 20 more innings than he did all of last year. I wonder if he gets a break like Painter

The good news is the velocity was still there for Mick Abel. TrackMan said he was 93-98 in the first inning. But there was no control, let alone any command tonight. He deserves a lot of credit for battling without his best stuff because he was fighting it tonight
