Jersey Shore stadium not big enough for this one from Jhailyn Ortiz. Hard to tell but the announcer thinks it cleared the Ryan Howard retired number which is way beyond the outfield fence.

I may be imagining this but is this the most consistent period of time for Ortiz having success?

It's always seemed like one big game followed by many not so big games...

In 2017, Ortiz was in the MVP conversation in low A, posting an OPS of 961 for the season. He played most of that season at age 17, and a large portion of those of us who followed the minors thought he was on the fast track to being a major league all-star. Four seasons later he's repeating high A at age 22 and hitting well, but not as well as in 2017. I'm happy for him, but at this point, given his age and level, he projects to being a AAAA player at best unless he flies up the system ladder later the s summer. JMHO.
