A Dylan Covey sighting, and not a good one unfortunately.

BTW, FCL season is now complete. They missed the playoffs by a couple of games (which was when Caba and Tait got promoted). It is possible we will not see any draftee debuts this year, though I suppose we might see a couple of college position players in Clearwater. I doubt we see our top 2 picks though.

Crawford not in the lineup for Reading. A little worried, this time of year.

If they trade Crawford they will be getting a pretty significant return I would think. Maybe someone not on the radar at all.

Crawford came out for the national anthem; so he is still here. Hopefully just a day off.

If they are thinking of trading him they may be keeping him out to avoid last-minute injury before any trade is consummated.. I think that is a legitimate worry. I wouldn't be trading Crawford--he's about one good AA/AAA season away from starting in CF for us.

OK, found out our 17-year-old catcher, Edwardo Tait, who homered and doubled in his first two plate appearances today, pronounces his last name TAH-EET, which shouldn't surprise me since I know Spanish a bit, but I was thinking "TATE." 400-foot HR today off the fair pole in RF.

Reading outfielder Ethan Wilson almost made spectacular catch, but he crashed into the wall and crumpled to the ground, losing the ball as the batter circled the bases. He was down for a while but did eventually walk off under his own power.

His replacement was not Justin Crawford.

Reading isn’t a good team, but they looked bad against an awful New Hampshire squad. I know it’s only one game, but Rincones looked mediocre. Andrew Baker had no idea where his pitches were going.

The one notable player was Robert Moore, who made several amazing plays at shortstop.

Noticed Guillermo Rosario got called up to Clearwater too. He tailed off a bit after a hot start. Ferrebus still hurt I assume with the sprained ankle but hopefully he gets a look too by the end of the season.

Phillies seem to have some sort of affiliation/affinity with University of Iowa, as they drafted Marcus Morgan in the 9th round and signed Raider Tello as undrafted free agent.
