Rondon catching today. I hadn't seen that before, but looking up his stats he's started as catcher twice previously. I guess it's good to move teenagers around the diamond on defense...never know when you might find the right place for them.

I was hopeful for him after his strong 2019 season in AA -- his OPS+ was 140 that season, and he was a draftee we liked on draft day. 2020 and the eye injury played havoc with his career.

Carlos De La Cruz with 2 HRs yesterday. K rate still too high, but lower than in the past and the power is starting to show up a bit. More of a LF/1B now which was probably inevitable, but for a player that I thought might not survive Spring Training, a 776 OPS in Jersey Shore at an acceptable age means he gets a shot at a real power park in Reading next year.
