There are concerns about him, but, since he's 16, everything is "fixable". He doesn't walk enough, and he's not going to maintain a .450 BABIP.

The fact the Phils are hitting him 4th in the lineup says they know he's pretty darn good, though!

When he signed he looked like a guy with solid skills who had played a lot internationally, but who didn’t look very projectable. I don’t t know what he is anymore…except different. Very different.

Yhoswar Garcia…WTH? Can it really be possible to have a P/PA of 1.634, even in a small sample? Looks like a total disaster, 21 years old and still in the FCL. WHY DOES SAL STILL HAVE A JOB?

More of a PSA than a defense, in FCL pitch number is not accurately reported. All walks are 4-0, all strikeouts are 0-3, balls in play are just 1 pitch, unless there is a stolen base, wild pitch, passed ball, etc.

Reminds me of Martire Franco (who lost half a year in 2002 due to misbehavior at Reading); he was a good prospect and never really came back afterwards. I hope Perez's transgression was nothing like Franco's...

Song was 94 mph and looked like it had some life to it. The slider didn’t look bad. Not dominant but I think he’s close to being at a point where he could tread water in the big leagues.
